From Lynnelle Stewart…Plenary getting underway to determine Almighty God’s selection for WSA Chair. I confess I saw a light around her when Rifka Several did her final clarifying test.. And wept for joy when she was chosen. It felt like the right thing happened. From the audience response… Many people standing… It seemed all were equally unanimously glad!

The background (from www.subudworldnews.com)…

Eight candidates tested this morning for the role of WSA Chairperson: Nahum Harlap (Australia), Hannah de Roo (Netherland), Rifka Several (USA), Hamid da Silva Portugal), Arifin Konrad (Austria), Irwan Wyllie (Australia), Bachtiar Lorot (Spain) and Paloma Muñoz (Colombia). Two questions were tested: Please show if you have the quality to fulfil the role of WSA Chair for the next term; and Please show if you have the ability to work in harmony with the World Subud Council during thee next term. The testing was strong for all candidates, but after the International Helpers deliberations they asked to test two more questions with two of the candidates; Rifka Several and Arifin Konrad. The questions regarded how it would be for Subud if so and so became Chairperson, and if it was right for so and so to be the Chairperson. The IHs also shared their understanding of the process, which you can read here.

After deliberating again, the IHs announced their choice of Rifka Several as the new WSA Chair.
