Portugal will be the next country to host World Congress…
In the afternoon of Congress Day 3 it was the turn for the presentation of possible venues for the next World Congress in 2028. Subud Britain porposed Glasgow, Scotland; Subud USA together with Subud Canada presented Calgary and Montreal as valid options; and, finally, Subud Portugal presented Fatima as their proposal.
After testing and deliberations on behalf of the IHs, Fatima was chosen as the venue to the 17th Subud World Congress.
Portugal presented a video and also submitted three documents to the country members, which you can read here, here, and here.
Fatima is the location of the apparitions of the Virgin Mary to three children, culminating on a big event on May 13. In the meantime, it has become a multi-religious centre of pilgrimage.
