Susila Budhi Dharma
The name Subud is usually regarded as an acronym formed from three
Sanskrit words, Susila, Budhi and Dharma. Briefly, it can be understood
to mean "the possibility for human beings to follow the right
way of living".
SUSILA - the good behaviour of a human being, or person, which is
in line with God's will.
BUDHI - the force of the power of the personal self that is present
in the self of human beings.
DHARMA- to surrender, to trust only in God, and to accept without
hoping for anything in return, and it means to accept whatever the
One God gives.
Subud also has a meaning of its own, "originating in God and
returning to God" or "originating from its source and
returning to the same source".
